time to purge the dead weight

I've been hoping for a 'buy' year. To be blunt there is a large number of non contributors that need
to be shed. If we can move them, perhaps we can still be buyers. Here is my list

1. Kyle Hendricks - no longer an MLB level starter. Maybe but unlikely a mid relief guy. I would move him if at all possible.
2. Seiya Suzuki - weak bat with no pop. I don't buy into the 'great' defender at all. slow and not athletic. I would look to move him now even if we have to cover a significant part of his salary, which we will have to do.
3. Wisdom - trade or DFA
4. Mastrobuoni - DFA
5. Barnhart - trade
6. Mancini - trade
7. Young - DFA

I would stick with Stohman, Taillon, Steele, Wesneski as the rotation.
I would look to pull a trade for guys like Justin Turner and Kenley Janson if the Red Sox are inclined to sell. They are in last place in a very tough division.
I would keep Madrigal and slot him #9 in the order which i think creates great bottom of the lineup production.
I like Amaya and would promote him to #2 catcher
I would love to see Mervis stay on the rader although I don't know how he is doing in the minors and had a tough stint with the club before being demoted, but he has pop.

I sorta agree on 3-7 points.

Hendricks and Suzuki are solid pieces.

Why do you view Suzuki as solid? Serious question. He is a .250 hitter with 7 home runs and < 30 rbis and has batted in the 4th slot.

I think you hope that he puts it together and rakes eventually. I doubt any team will take on that type of contract for him.

Good job by Hendricks last night --- Still got some left in the tank.
